UNDER DEVELOPMENT


2003 marked the completion of the first Venice Collaborative project integrating art and architecture in a functional dwelling. Every project completed from 2003 onwards has embraced this unique development model, contributing unique, high quality and aesthetically intriguing projects to the city. Each project is a collaboration of an architect and artist through the design process. These current project underdevelopment represent a diverse grouping of architects and artists in collaboration:


713/721 VENICE BOULEVARD / VENICE, CA

TYPE: THREE LIVE-WORK ARTIST LOFTS

The wedge-shaped lot is approximately 8,231 square feet, located in a mixed residential and commercial area of Venice. David Reddy of R&D Architects is designing a three level, three unit artist loft condominium.





938 PALMS BOULEVARD / VENICE, CA

The property is an interior lot on Palms Boulevard. The project will be developed as two three-story condominiums with a planned square footage of 5,000 square feet. The parcel is 5,296 square feet.

This project will be developed as a four-unit condominium. Each residence will be three stories tall containing approximately 2,500 square feet. The design of each unit, by Lawerance Scarpa, will consist of three bedrooms with 2.5 bathrooms and a den.

This property consists of three continuous lots on the northeast corner of Venice Boulevard and Abbot Kinney. The 8,061 square foot parcel will be redeveloped into an approximated 12,000 square foot mixed-use commercial and residential project. The property, located in a former light industrial area on Abbot Kinney, is perceived as a gateway into Venice.
